Vendor certification · earned in Robotics / Mechatronics
The Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification Program (SMSCP) Level 1 — Certified Mechatronic Systems Assistant — is issued by Siemens and delivered through Siemens-authorized partner schools. It is earned by completing coursework and assessment covering electrical components, mechanical components and electrical drives, electro-pneumatic and hydraulic control circuits, and digital fundamentals including PLCs. The credential is portable and recognized by employers as evidence of foundational mechatronics knowledge and skills.
It proves that the holder has been examined against a published standard — knowledge on a written exam and, in most cases, an observed practical performance — and has met the standard of Siemens.
At VoTechWorks the credential is earned inside the programs that carry it (Robotics / Mechatronics): the universal core, one competency course per curriculum area with a written exam, an observed skills demonstration and a signed log each, a capstone, an externship, then exam preparation and the credential exam itself, sat at the school's authorized testing center or the body's own site.
It leads to entry-level employment in Manufacturing & Marine, counts toward the next credential on the stackable pathway, and is the first line on the résumé an employer reads.
Vendor certifications track product versions; recertify when the version retires (typically 2–3 years).

Does the school offer financial aid?
No. We don’t offer financial aid because we’re free. No, really: completely free.
Do you offer industry certification?
No. We are not certified yet, so we can’t offer that to students. What we do offer is knowledge and understanding of a trade.
Enroll first in the trade you’re interested in. You get your key, your program opens, and you begin studying.
